How Hardwood Flooring Scottsdale Works
Hardwood Flooring Scottsdale puts down, sands, refinishes and repairs wood floors across Scottsdale and the towns around it: Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree, Rio Verde and the north and east sides of Phoenix. Projects run from a few cupped boards near a patio slider to a full great room of wide white oak in a new custom home.
We start in your house. Desert floors fail for desert reasons, so the visit focuses on them: how dry the air inside is, what the concrete slab under the floor reads for moisture, where afternoon sun lands, and whether the HVAC runs year round or the house sits empty for part of the summer. We measure each room, note transitions to tile or stone, and look at the stairs and thresholds that will need trim.
After the visit you receive a written quote. It names each room, the flooring or finish, the install method (glue-down, floating or nail-down over plywood), slab prep, trim, furniture handling and the price. When there is a real choice to make, such as solid versus engineered or a full sand versus a recoat, the quote prices both so you can compare. Work starts only after you sign off, and any change is written down and approved before it happens.
How we work
- Slab moisture tested before anything is glued to concrete.
- Flooring acclimated inside your home with the air conditioning running at normal living settings.
- Expansion space left at walls and around columns, then hidden under base or trim.
- HOA and condo association rules collected before the schedule is set.
- Dust containment, furniture moving and cure times spelled out in the quote.
